History

In 1999, Dr. Ivan Drummond was the head of emergency medicine at one of the most renowned hospitals in Rio de Janeiro, where he practiced in the field of trauma surgery. After returning from training, offered by the WHO in Germany, on special rescue and multiple-victims accident management, he observed the need for a medical services firm specialized in supporting companies working in remote locations in Brazil. He invited to the firm Dr. Tatiana Perecmanis, who had specialized in medical evaluation of offshore workers. This gave rise to International Health Care, first called Trauma Care International.

This was the beginning of one of the most successful businesses to grant medical and occupational care to offshore companies in Brazil.

Today, International Health Care has a portfolio of over 30 clients, to which they offer consultations in occupational health, executive international check-ups, both on- and offshore medical rescue teams throughout Brazil, support to expatriates, risk evaluation for work in remote locations and support to workers and their families in all cities in Brazil.
